What Shapes Are Available?

Half-round and K-style in residential and commercial sizes. K-style is by far the most common, and can be seen-on almost every residential and commercial building.

 

What Colors Are Available?

There are a dozen colors available at no additional cost, in both K-style and half-round. The paint is a baked-on enamel like automotive paint. Copper gutters are not painted.

 

Are Roof Edge Dynamics Important?

A common complaint about gutters is water finding its way behind and running down the fascia boards, trenching out the landscaping below, and eventually causing wood rot.

This happens when the asphalt shingle does not extend far enough for the water to drop right into the gutter. Rather, surface tension “captures” the roof water and the design of the drip edge leads the water right back to the fascia. Roof shingles should extend at least one inch past the drip edge.

Solution: Add gutter flashing (fascia apron) or additional roof flashing.
